Fail Friday.....

This weeks failure is a lesson in indecision. See...I've been pretty indecisive in this remodel...I want chrome, no, brushed nickel, no, orb...you get the picture.

One thing I've known since I bought the house...I wanted to paint a mural. I decided to free hand it one day and tho I had lots left to do to it, this is the "basics" of it:

Nice right? I was digging it. Then...I made a decision to tear down that wall. I had waffled back and forth for 3 weeks about it and finally said lets do it. So my tree then turned into this:

And eventually this:

So...looks like my tree will be relocating to another wall. In the meantime, I learned a valuable lesson. What fails have you been working on this week?

Lets celebrate!

  1. Oh how tragic! That tree was gorgeous! Can't wait to see it once it gets relocated.

  5. How did you free-hand that? It looks amazing. I'm dying to do something like that on one of my walls, but I'm too nervous and not sure how to go about doing it!

  7. Maybe just a hiccup in the process, now you can put your tree on another wall and you've opened up your room so you have more light. I've done similar and it's part of the process. Your tree looked fab, your next one will be gorgeous!

  10. Meg, try it!!! :)
I decided to start with a thinner trunk & branches so that if I didn't like how it looked or if I messed up I could just go wider and wider till I liked it ;)
