One thing I've known since I bought the house...I wanted to paint a mural. I decided to free hand it one day and tho I had lots left to do to it, this is the "basics" of it:
Nice right? I was digging it. Then...I made a decision to tear down that wall. I had waffled back and forth for 3 weeks about it and finally said lets do it. So my tree then turned into this:
And eventually this:
So...looks like my tree will be relocating to another wall. In the meantime, I learned a valuable lesson. What fails have you been working on this week?
Lets celebrate!
Oh how tragic! That tree was gorgeous! Can't wait to see it once it gets relocated.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see your hard work go to waste! But, I'm sure you'll do a great job again!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's no fail!!! Sorry you cut your tree down, but I love how you opened thigs up!!!
ReplyDeleteLinking my fail up now! Thanks for hosting! :-)
awww...and it started out so promising! :0)
ReplyDeleteConsider it a trial run. hehehe
How did you free-hand that? It looks amazing. I'm dying to do something like that on one of my walls, but I'm too nervous and not sure how to go about doing it!
ReplyDeleteboo, well at least now you get to beauty up another wall with that tree! I love murals but am totally not good enough to paint one in my home!!
ReplyDeleteHere from Tidy Mom, happy weekend!
Maybe just a hiccup in the process, now you can put your tree on another wall and you've opened up your room so you have more light. I've done similar and it's part of the process. Your tree looked fab, your next one will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethe tree was great, yet that open access is even better! good call!
ReplyDeletecoming over from FF
Yeah, your tree will look soooooo much better once it's relocated and no beheaded :)
ReplyDeleteMeg, try it!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI decided to start with a thinner trunk & branches so that if I didn't like how it looked or if I messed up I could just go wider and wider till I liked it ;)
Wow!! Cool tree - but then the wall is gone...Wow!!
